Project: Residential complex at Amarjyoti Nagar, Bangalore

Design dealt: Architectural

Area: Site area – 1530 sq. ft         Built-up area – 4500 sq. ft

Theme: A multi dwelling unit where the need and function takes precedence over aesthetics, which could be a natural extension from the plan with all its simplicity. Stilt floor parking, 2 bedroom dwelling units on each floor and with the final floor having two studio apartments were designed in a 30×50 plot. The circular open-well staircase with a skylight above designed with wide treads has been located so as to ensure the privacy of any dwelling unit, able to move furniture easily, allow better circulation space in the absence of an elevator and also as an element of design predominantly seen in the elevation. Elements of elevation were simplified where unnecessary cladding and materials were not used, instead, large glass to bring in light, mural and painting fashion brought in elegance and style onto the façade.
